Robert Zwijnenberg, professor emeritus Art and Science Interactions at Leiden University, trained in civil engineering and philosophy, received a PhD in philosophy from the University of Amsterdam.
Zwijnenberg lectures and publishes on the important role of contemporary art in the academic and public debates on profound consequential technologies such as biotechnology and AI. He has also researched and published in the field of aesthetics, and on the historical and contemporary relationship between art and science.
